defining arcable
As I pondered names for our budding production company, none seemed to capture the true spirit of what we intended to do. Names hold a deep power. They tell the history of a thing, its story, and even the love that went into its creation. I wanted our name to be symbolic and forward-leaning. With Arcable®, I realized I could do more than define a term—I could create one.
Here’s the etymology of arc•able® (ärk-ā-bəl) adj.
The name is a synthesis of two powerful words: "Arc," which, as defined by Merriam-Webster, is "a continuous progression or line of development," and "Able," which means having sufficient power or skill to do something.
Arcable® is thus defined as one’s ability to grow, evolve, and expand. It is a commitment to be better than the current version of oneself—an embrace of the truth a teacher once shared with me: that we are all master-builders of our own journey.
